Information We Collect
ContenidoYa is a publication, not an account-based service. We do not ask you to register, and we do not collect financial account numbers, card details or identity documents.
We collect information you send us voluntarily through the contact form (your name, e-mail address and message) and technical information collected automatically when you load a page, such as browser type, device type, approximate region derived from IP address, referring page and the pages you viewed.
How We Use Information
Contact form submissions are used only to reply to you and, where relevant, to correct or improve an article. Technical information is used in aggregate to understand which guides are useful, to detect abuse, and to keep the site fast and available.
We also use information to display advertising, which is how this publication is funded. We do not sell your personal data for money, and we never share contact form submissions with advertisers.
Advertising
ContenidoYa displays advertising served by Google AdSense and may use other advertising networks, exchanges and measurement partners. These partners may set cookies or read advertising identifiers to deliver adverts, cap how often you see them, prevent fraud and measure performance.
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve adverts on this site, and its use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve adverts based on your visit to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com, and review third-party vendor opt-outs at aboutads.info/choices, youronlinechoices.eu and optout.networkadvertising.org.
If you decline advertising cookies in our consent banner, adverts are served in non-personalised mode based on page content only. Under the CCPA/CPRA, sharing data with advertising partners for cross-context behavioural advertising may count as a 'sale' or 'share'; declining in the banner is our opt-out mechanism.
Our advertising partners act as independent controllers for the data they collect through their own technologies, governed by their own privacy policies.
Legal Bases for Processing
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on consent for advertising, personalisation and analytics storage, on legitimate interests for site security, abuse prevention and aggregate audience measurement, and on consent or contract for handling messages you send through the contact form.
You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's cookies, which restores the consent banner on your next visit.
Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar storage mechanisms. Essential storage keeps the site working and remembers your cookie choice. Analytics storage records anonymised page views. Advertising storage is set by our ad partners once you consent.
Full detail, including how long each category lasts, is in our Cookie Policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking them does not restrict access to any article on this site.
Third-Party Services
Our hosting provider processes requests on our behalf and keeps short-lived server logs for security purposes. Our analytics provider processes anonymised usage events. These providers act as processors under our instructions and are bound by their own data protection commitments.
Advertising networks, including Google, act as independent controllers rather than processors. Articles link to external sources such as regulators and statistical agencies; once you follow an outbound link, the destination site's own privacy policy applies.
Data Retention
Contact form messages are retained for up to 24 months so we can follow up on corrections and track recurring reader questions. Aggregated analytics are retained indefinitely because they no longer identify individuals. Server logs are kept for a short period, typically no more than 90 days.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. You can also withdraw consent for optional storage at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us through the contact page. We will respond within the period required by the applicable law in your jurisdiction.
Children's Privacy
ContenidoYa is written for adults making financial decisions and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our tooling or legal obligations change. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
